Medical Appendix

Current regulations require all horses & ponies to have a medical appendix in the passport. You can check your pony's passport for the presence of the “Medical Treatment” pages. This may be present in two places

Older passports:
At the very back after pages 26 you will find pages A through D.

Passport issued after 2004

In these passports, Medical Treatment is already included in the document. It can be found on page 27.

Passport issued after 2009

In these passports, Medical Treatment is already included in the document. It can be found on page 26.

Should you not find the medical treatment in your pony's passport, you have an incomplete passport. You will have to apply for a new passport. Send us the original passport together with an application form. A new complete passport will be issued for your pony. You can request the form from the studbook office.

If you have a passport issued by an agency other than the NWPCS, the NWPCS cannot modify this document. You will have to contact the issuing authority at home or abroad that issued the passport.
