Breeding Plan

After several review moments, the latest version of the Breeding Plan of the Dutch Welsh Pony and Cob Studbook was adopted in early 2020.

This breeding plan provides (1) a description of how foals, mares and stallions will be registered, (2) a description of how mare and stallion selection will take place, (3) formulates breeding goals within the breed descriptions used by the WPCS (parent studbook) and (4) from there provides points of interest for each section.

The breeding plan has a rolling agenda. An evaluation will take place every two years to see and test whether or not the breeding plan needs to be adjusted. The next evaluation, as described in the breeding plan, will take place in 2022.
