THE DUTCH WELSH PONY & COB STUDBOOK YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS!

Since 1959, the Dutch Welsh Pony & Cob Studbook (NWPCS) has provided for the registration of Welsh ponies and cobs in the Netherlands. The association aims to:

• Proper registration of Welsh ponies and cobs in accordance with the rules of the parent studbook and internationally applicable regulations;
• Correct parentage data through application of blood pattern and/or DNA testing;
• A healthy animal stock through the application of veterinary examinations at studbook registration.

However, the NWPCS wants to be much more. It also wants to be a platform through which the breeding of Welsh ponies and cobs can be further increased in quality. That is why the NWPCS organizes regional inspections;

• A Central Mare Inspection;
• A Central Stallion Show;
• a national sports and family day;
• Welsh cup;
• Rural ibop
• Aptitude testing for NWR stallions. WPBR stallions can participate in the aptitude test on a voluntary basis

Breeding Welsh ponies and cobs is not something you do alone. Together in association you are better able to make progress.

Therefore, the association supports members by:

• Having available and training expert judges;
• Guidance and information provided by the Breeding Technical Committee;
• Information on breeding value of stallions through breeding value determination
• The association magazine the Welsh Pony & Cob Magazine.
• Information and discussion evenings, both national and departmental.

For anyone who has lost his heart to breeding or sporting Welsh ponies and cobs, the NWPCS is a ‘must’. Especially since the NWPCS also wants to be a friendly club where breeders and sportsmen can meet each other. Through the good international ties and relations with the parent studbook in Wales, every member of the NWPCS participates in a centuries-old tradition of breeding Welsh ponies and cobs. The NWPCS is there for everyone. For the breeder and the athlete. For the enthusiast of the brave Welsh Mountain pony, the enthusiast of the elegant B-pony, the robust Welsh Cob-type pony, the imposing Welsh Cob and the enthusiast of the athletic Welsh NWR and WPBR pony.

In short, the Dutch Welsh Pony & Cob Studbook is not something you want to miss!

CANCEL MEMBERSHIP
If you wish to cancel your membership of the Dutch Welsh Pony & Cob Studbook, you must do so in writing before December 1 of the current year. If you cancel after that, you will still be a member for the coming year. Anyone who cancels as a member will receive a written confirmation of receipt from the studbook office so you can be sure that your cancellation has been received by the NWPCS.
