Daniëlle Smalbraak is stepping down as web editor at NWPCS

Daniëlle Smalbraak-Carrière is stepping down as web editor for the Welsh Stud Book. “I’ve really enjoyed doing this for five years, and I think it’s time to move on.”

“I joined the web editorial team through Anja Rozema. I worked for 16 years as a (web) editor for *De Paardenkrant* and later also for *Horses.nl*. When I left that position in 2016, I took on freelance assignments for publications such as *Hoefslag* and *Mensport*. At the time, Anja was looking for a web editor and asked me if I’d be interested in the role. And it turned out to be a good fit for me.‘. I started on January 1, 2019“, says Daniëlle

She continues: “I want to make way for a younger generation that’s even more focused on social media.”

The observant viewer may have already noticed that Dieke Slingerland has been posting updates in recent weeks. She joined August 2019: Already Strengthening the Web Editorial Team, but that has been on the back burner lately. Dieke has since taken over the web editorial duties.

Daniëlle: “I wanted to see my ‘baby’—the ”Cutest Old Welsh’ contest—through to the end myself. The winner has now been announced, so I’m stepping down. I wish my successor(s) lots of fun and success!”

The upcoming issue of Welsh Pony and Cob Magazine will feature a ’10 Questions With’ interview with Daniëlle Smalbraak-Carrière.
