HOYS: Hoekhorst Example Welsh Section A Pony of the Year

The 8-year-old Section A stallion Hoekhorst Example (nickname: Handsome Harry), won the title of Welsh Section A pony of the Year yesterday afternoon (Oct. 7, 2021) at the prestigious equestrian event Horse of the Year Show (HOYS).

Example has been in owned by the Davies/Grota family (Cadlanvalley Stud) from Wales. They released the stallion very successfully under saddle and were (now that HOYS was allowed to be organized again in 2021), qualified to compete for the national title at this highest level.

Example was bred by us at the time from our own breeding product Hoekhorst Evita, sire is the well-known and super sire Idyllic Senator.

Previously, Example was also successful at the 2019 Royal Welsh Show, where he managed to secure 2nd place in a crowded Section A stallion to hand class.
