Family Hoeke of the Hoekhorst Stud has sold the NWPCS licensed section A stallion Hoekhorst Example (by Idyllic Senator), after a successful show season last year, to the Cadlanvalley Stud in Great Britain.

In May 2019, Example became Reserve Supreme Overall Champion at the WPCV show. Subsequently, Family Hoeke had the grey stallion shown ‘in hand’ in Great Britain by Ceri Powell. Among others, Example placed eighth at the Royal Welsh in the four to seven-year-old Section A stallions class.

Supreme Ridden show debut

His ‘Ridden’ show debut at the Mid Wales Winter Show earned him - in addition to wins in the NPS pure novice small breeds and the pure novice championship, the novice smallbreeds and the reserve novice championship - the Supreme title. “This boy is far too good to geld,” Hayley Grota (Cadlanvalley Stud), mother of Example's rider Libby, told The Showing Journal. “A Section A stallion with such a beautiful type is hard to find. In addition, he has the movements and and character that complete the picture.”

Pedigree

The now seven-year-old Hoekhorst Example (by Idyllic Senator) is a son of the star mare Hoekhorst Evita (by Tynyfid Edwin, m. Flydon Megan, keur). This makes him, among others, a half-brother of the studbook stallion Hoekhorst Empire (by Brynodyn Safari) who was section A champion at last year's Central Stallion Show in Ermelo.

Before Hoekhorst Example moved to Britain, he provided offspring in the Netherlands.
