Call for Information: Current Status of Studbook Stallions in the Online Stallion Register

In the Online Welsh Stallion Register This page lists the Welsh stallions registered as studbook stallions with the NWPCS. Originally, this page only contained the information that appeared in the former stallion register—such as name, pedigree, and breeder—supplemented by the judging report. We are now also able to add some up-to-date information. For this, we ask for the assistance of the owners/stallion keepers.

The information we can add now includes:

• Breeding Station
  • Every year, you have the opportunity to report which breeding station a stallion is currently available for breeding at. You can do this by registering the stallion for the current stallion list (click here).
  • At the beginning of each year, the current list of stallions (and thus also the breeding stations) is removed, and the information must be resubmitted.
• Status
  • In the online stallion registry, it is not yet clear whether a studbook stallion is currently still available for breeding. We urge stallion owners to let us know if a stallion is available for breeding (including whether or not he is available for third-party mares), has died, been gelded, withdrawn from breeding service, etc.

The data and changes for the online stallion register (studbook stallions only), as well as the registration for the current stallion list (studbook and basic register stallions), can be emailed to: ftc.rasfokkerij@nwpcs.nl
