Last Saturday, on October 28, the annual NWPCS framework day took place in Ermelo. The main topic this day was ‘Looking to the Future.
After a welcome over a cup of coffee and cake, chairman Richard Dekkers started the day with a presentation on who we are as a studbook and where we stand. Then the mission, vision & strategy were mapped out together with those present. This provided fun and interesting interaction.
Henriette Fraser (president of the Council of Members) continued this morning with a presentation including questions about the opinions of those present on 5 different themes. Priorities were enthusiastically given by the audience and there was room to explain them. The Executive Committee will take this input into account for the annual plan.
After a delicious lunch, Anneke Dijkstra (secretary) took over and opinions & input were asked in formed groups on a number of topics such as the structure within the studbook, dealing with volunteers and what we as a studbook should pay more attention to.
The afternoon continued with topics such as ‘the Welsh pony as the strongest brand’ were discussed.
The framework day ended with a nice drink and barbecue. On to a bright future for the Welsh Studbook!
