rosettes Welsh judging

Have you already started the math? At the Central judging in Houten no less than 87 ponies were promoted.

53 ponies received the STER predicate, 30 mares received the KEUR predicate and 4 mares immediately received the KROON predicate. These predicates are now processed and visible in MijnWelsh. So now the big math can begin!

Based on the performance of the offspring, your mare or stallion can also qualify for e.g. the Preferentship, a Breeding Premium or even the ELITE predicate. Take a look at MijnWelsh and look at the results of the offspring.

The predicate can be applied for by sending the information below to secretariaat@nwpcs.nl

  • The original registration certificate (the loose sheet of A4 size)
  • Indication of which offspring are concerned, if possible with achieved results (elite, preferent, excellent, prestatie)
  • A picture of the pony for online publication on the website.
  • Short story about the pony for online publication on the website

Predicates mares, based on performance of offspring

  • PREFERENT
  • ELITE

PREFERENT

A mare can be awarded the predicate preferent once at least 12 points have been obtained - by at least three of her offspring. At least two of these offspring must have earned their points at least three years of age. This predicate can be awarded posthumously.

ELITE

A mare can be awarded the predicate elite once at least 24 points have been obtained - by at least six of her offspring. At least four of these offspring must have obtained their points at least three years of age. This predicate can be awarded posthumously.

Predicates/premiums stallions, based on performance offspring

  • FOKPREMIE (This is not a predicate but an incentive award)
  • PREFERENT
  • ELITE

FOKPREMIE

A studbook stallion can only be awarded a breeding premium once his oldest offspring are three years old. His offspring must have earned at least 30 points. Of the offspring presented for inspection, at least 60% must have earned a first premium and at least 10 points must have been earned by predicate daughters/ geldings or studbook sons. The studbook stallion must be shown at the CHK when awarded the breeding premium. The breeding premium may be awarded posthumously to a stallion.

PREFERENT

A studbook and/or basic book stallion can be awarded the predicate preferent as soon as his offspring have obtained at least 80 points. Of these, at least 20 points have been obtained by predicate daughters/ geldings and at least 10 by studbook sons. A stallion that breeds decisively in the female or male line may also qualify for the predicate preferent without pedigree sons or without sufficient predicate daughters/ geldings, on the recommendation of the Breeding Technical Committee to the Executive Committee. This predicate may be awarded posthumously to a stallion.

ELITE

A studbook and/or basic book stallion can be awarded the predicate elite once his offspring have achieved a minimum of 120 points. Of these, at least 40 points have been obtained by predicate daughters/ geldings and at least 20 by studbook sons. A stallion which breeds decisively in the female or male line can also qualify for the elite predicate without pedigree sons or without sufficient predicate daughters/ geldings, this on the recommendation of the Breeding Committee to the Executive Committee. This predicate can be awarded posthumously to a stallion.
