Last night, during an extraordinary Members’ Council meeting in Putten, the Members’ Council discussed with the Executive Board the situation that has arisen following the recent departure of two board members.

During the meeting, there was an extensive discussion about recent developments.

The Executive Board faces an enormous challenge: ensuring that the association’s activities continue to run smoothly with only two board members.

A key takeaway from the meeting is that the cause of the rift is clear to the Members' Council members, and there is no point in looking back.

Within an association, the collective interest takes precedence over individual interests, and we are focused on the future of our wonderful association; above all, we want to enjoy together what unites us: our passion for and breeding of Welsh ponies in the Netherlands!

Over the past few days, the Executive Board has already received offers from several members to help behind the scenes where needed. These initiatives are greatly appreciated.

Based on the list of activities, the Members' Council will, where necessary, actively seek out volunteers who are willing to take on these tasks on a temporary basis.

We have collectively concluded that it is important for our members' activities to continue and that we all pitch in to make that happen!

Job openings on the Executive Board will be posted on our website within a few days. Interested candidates should not wait to apply; they can contact Piet Peters, chair of the Executive Board, or Richard Dekkers, interim chair of the Members’ Council.
