Stougjeshoeve-Esteve
The Section B stallion Stougjeshoeve Esteve (by Waxwing Peru), who was registered in the stud book in 2020 as a three-year-old, has been sold to Lena Aniansson in Sweden.
“In the year he was approved, he went to Sweden in October,” says owner Bas van der Linden. Agnetha Hjortsparre had seen his sire and the sire’s offspring in Australia and sent me a message from there asking if she could lease Esteve. That happened in 2021. Once in Sweden, Lena Aniansson also wanted to use him for a year. So that happened in 2022. But in the meantime, his foals made quite an impression this year, and she really wanted to buy him. It wasn’t an easy decision, because he’s such a lovely stallion to handle. But in the end, I decided to let her have him.”
Van der Linden adds: “I wouldn’t rule out the possibility that Lena might want to present him again at the CHK for final approval, since he’s only ever been to the CHK as a three-year-old.”
Stougjeshoeve Esteve was bred by Geert Verbaas out of Stougjeshoeve Estelle (by Cwrtycadno Cymro). The gray stallion placed first among the three-year-olds at the CHK.
