When Miranda van der Panne - Stolk and her ten-year-old daughter Charlotte saw an appeal pass by for a last wish of an elderly man in a nearby nursing home, they didn't think twice. They found their Welsh B mare Wildzang's Larissa very suitable to fulfill this wish.

“Larissa is super well behaved and down to earth. She is not afraid of anything,” Miranda responds. “That's why we responded to the call to visit 92-year-old Mr. Muntz with a horse at nursing home the Leemgaarde in Oostvoorne. The call was made by one of the caregivers at the nursing home in a Facebook group for Horse Owners on Voorne-Putten. Charlotte rode to the nursing home on Larissa, and I next to her on my bike.”

Miranda van der Panne: “We bought Larissa in April 2019 from a farmer in Brabant for my daughter's eighth birthday. She has a former bunker from the war, as a walk-in stable. We bred a foal by Woldberg's Rossini out of her in June 2020. This mare is named Rosalie and my daughter is going to saddle her next year. Charlotte rides a little dressage, a little jumping and a lot of outside rides with Larissa. Larissa is for sale now, because Charlotte is already 1.68 meter tall and Larissa is getting too small for her. We are also going to sell Rosalie eventually.”

Wildzang's Larissa

Wildzang's Larissa was born on April 20, 2012 at family Valk in Radewijk. She is a daughter of the stallion Thistledown Lawrence of Arabia (by Paddock Sahara) and the keur mare Wildzang's Sweet Surprice (by Sarnau Pelydrog). Larissa earned the ster predicate as a three-year-old. Before Rosalie (by Woldberg's Rossini), Larissa brought two more foals, namely Broekkantse Colette and Broekkantse Oskar, both descendants of Beschenhof Darwin bred by Th. van de Heuvel from Beek en Donk.
