Roelofsen Horse Trucks is launching a new initiative for young, talented dressage riders: the Roelofsen Dressage Talent Scouting program. This talent scouting program is open to riders aged 10 through 21 who are classified at least at the M1 level.

“The goal of talent scouting is to give young talents an extra incentive to develop their talents. By offering training sessions, as well as providing transportation and an attractive sponsorship package, we hope to give these talented athletes a nudge in the right direction. It’s great preparation for the Indoor Championships, where the winner could travel in style.”.

Anne and Lotte Meulendijks

”We are very pleased to be working with Anne and Lotte Meulendijks, who will be taking charge of the training and selection process. These are two young women who know how to train a young horse to compete at the highest level and who are also able to effectively convey this knowledge during training sessions with the talented riders," says Ingrid Wilting.

The scouting process consists of three parts: the preliminary selection, the clinics, and the finals. The preliminary selection is based on a submitted riding video and a letter of motivation. From all submissions, a maximum of 45 pairs will be selected to participate in one of the training sessions led by Anne and Lotte Meulendijks. Through these training sessions, they can qualify for the finals, for which 8 talented riders will be selected.

Final

The final will take place at the Equestrian Center Peelbergen, concurrently with the final day of the KNHS-Roelofsen Horse Trucks Dressage Competition for the Subtop division on Sunday, January 23.

The clinic days are on Saturday, December 11, in Raalte, and Saturday, December 18, in Heeze. For more information or to register, visit www.roelofsen.eu/talentscouting.
