Reitlands Bon Coeur B

The German premium stallion Reitland’s Bon Coeur B (by Brouwershaven Black Caviar), bred by Lenert Bush of Stadland (Germany), passed his performance test in Neustadt Dosse. With an average final score of 8.13, he was the reserve champion among twenty competitors.

The German riding pony Milva II (by High Flown’s Oxford) is listed as the dam of the black Bon Coeur. The premium stallion was registered as a Welsh Partbred studbook stallion at the most recent NWPCS stallion inspection. During the final exam of the NWPCS Performance Test on December 10 and 11 in Lunteren, he will undergo a temperament test so that his offspring can be registered in the NWR section.

Welsh Partbred Stud Book Stallion

In this year’s Issue 1 of Welsh Pony & Cob Magazine, Louis Roeters, Executive Board Member for Breeding Affairs at NWR, WPBR, and Sport, talks about Reitland’s Bon Coeur B. “It’s very difficult to find good stallions that can provide the desired bloodline diversity without putting the studbook at risk of losing breed characteristics. Fortunately, there are more and more breeders who are willing to search for them and take on this challenge.”

“I happened to come across Reitland’s Bon Coeur B online. He struck me as an interesting stallion. I went to take a look and became more and more enthusiastic. Eventually, we went to see him again with a delegation from the Breeding Committee and the judging panel. Just like me, everyone was impressed. And the breeder/owner was willing to enter him in the Welsh stallion inspection in the Netherlands.”
