The Woldberg breeding program was passed down from father Chris Morren to his son Kees in 2003. Kees then took over the mare Woldberg’s Polka from his father. He bred this mare to Casperhof’s Freddy, a son of Woldberg’s Bart. Kees Morren thus continued the Woldberg line with Woldberg blood on both the maternal and paternal sides.

Boston Bonaparte later became an important part of the Woldberg’s Welsh B breeding program. He purchased this palomino together with Jan Flier in Great Britain.

A tribute will follow

Today’s ceremony honoring the Breeder of the Year at the stallion inspection was, like the entire CHK 2021, a special event. There was no audience, and Kees Morren, the Breeder of the Year himself, was also absent. So the ceremony will take place at a later date.
