Multi champion stallion Ysselvliedts Special Edition back in the Netherlands
Ysselvliedts Special Edition
The Welsh section A stallion Ysselvliedts special Edition recently returned to his birth stable Ysselvliedt Welsh ponies in Wezep
The 21-year-old multi-champion was sold seven years ago by his breeder, Ysselvliedt stable, to Swedish Welsh pony breeder Annika Persdotter-Nilsson. “Special Edition was approved as a five-year-old with a fantastic description“, says Harold Zoet of Ysselvliedt Stable.
Multi Champion
Two years after that he became section champion and reserve day champion at the CHK. He was also successfully shown in Great Britain for two years, winning the Bronze and Silver medal and placed second at the Royal Welsh Show.
The palomino stallion produced many successful offspring and, despite his long stay in Sweden and Great Britain, he is a few points away from his preferentship.
Approved sons
From Edition the fall stallion Paaskamps Princenhaag was approved in the Netherlands, in Germany he has five approved sons, in Sweden three, France two and in China two. Also in his female progeny Edition clearly made his mark with many ster and keur daughters. A very famous offspring of Special Edition is the sport pony Ysselvliedts Hello Goldstar who won many championship titles with Anwen Zoet in the Leading rein and first ridden classes.
“Goldstar is certainly not the only Edition offspring doing well in the sport. Because of their character, many Edition offspring are successful under saddle and in driving..”
Revel Jeeves son
At 21 years old, Ysselvliedt's Special Edition is the only son of the famous Revel Jeeves, who is also known as the sire of Penual Mark and Pendock Legend, still alive. Harold Zoet adds that he is pleased with the return this year of Special Edition. “Wij have managed to breed very well with him and can now use him again on our mares. In September Edition will return to Sweden.”
