Brexit: transfer ponies with WPCS passports

There is still a great deal of uncertainty, but we seem to be heading toward a hard Brexit. This will likely have consequences for the registration of ponies registered in the UK.

If a hard Brexit goes ahead, it will likely not be possible to transfer ponies with a WPCS passport to a European stud book again until the UK registers as a ‘third country.’ Exactly how this will work and how long it will take is unclear at this time, but there is a fairly high chance that it will cause (temporary) problems with the registration of animals.

Before December 31

Do you want to avoid any problems? If so, please make sure your ponies with a WPCS passport are transferred to the NWPCS by December 31, 2020. This transfer now costs only €20, and you can arrange it by sending an email to welsh@groenned.nl.
