Revised Inspection System During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Dear Members NWPCS,
As previously communicated by the Breeding Association, the government is requiring studbooks to implement a modified inspection system during this COVID-19 pandemic. For the NWPCS, this means that our six regional inspections—including championship inspections, performance classes, and referrals to the Central Mare Inspection—cannot take place. However, there will be limited opportunities to have your ponies individually inspected for studbook purposes, in compliance with the strict regulations set by the RIVM that we are familiar with.
To organize these inspections, an NWPCS Inspections Working Group has been established, consisting of Rhodé van Praat, Louis Roeters, Jan van Drie, Richard Dekkers, Gert Wensvoort, and Bart Reinders (chair). All members will be asked about their interest in such inspections. For now, it appears that, provided there is sufficient interest and following discussions with the respective safety regions, these inspections could be held on August 1, 8, and 15.
You will soon receive further information regarding the implementation and locations of these inspections via a written newsletter and through the NWPCS’s other media channels.
Sincerely,
NWPCS Executive Board
