Coronavirus: update 15-3-2020

Following the current developments regarding the containment of the coronavirus in the Netherlands, The NWPCS is responding to the call of the RIVM and the Dutch government. The NWPCS has no events scheduled with more than 100 visitors through April 6, however, in the interest of society, the NWPCS is enjoining all NWPCS activities, such as meetings, gatherings and events, through April 6 af.

The NWPCS will continue to closely follow the further reports on the coronavirus and keep everyone informed of further developments through reports on our website and facebook. Should the government take further measures, we will implement these immediately and communicate about this via the website.

We recommend that you observe the following measures on a daily basis: 

• Wash your hands regularly (at least 20 seconds); 
• Cough and sneeze into the inside of your elbow; 
• Use paper tissues; 
• Keep at least 1 meter away from people who are sick, coughing and sneezing; 
• Limit social contacts when you have a cold, cough or fever;
• Be alert for symptoms such as fever/coughing/shortness of breath; 
• After attending a meeting/event, avoid contact with vulnerable people such as the elderly and infirm.
