Kastanjehof Jip Northern Champion M Dressage with highest daily score

On February 1, the Northern Driving Dressage Championships for single-pony teams were held in Zuidwolde. Welsh ponies competed in many classes, including Class M. Here, Hindriëtta Lamein and her pony Kastanjehof Jip (by Cui Pendragon) won the championship title with the highest score of the day (67.9171 TP4T).

She finished just ahead of Jan Kamps, riding his pony Bobo van Bronneger (by De Goede Ree Now or Never), who scored 67.417% and claimed the Reserve Championship here.

Last year, Hindriëtta and Kastanjehof Jip won the Northern Championships in Class L and a bronze medal at the Hippiade in the L-class pony pair agility event (with partner Nyewold’s Karlo), but this year they managed to repeat that success in a higher class. The very next day, this versatile pony also secured a fifth-place finish at the Battle of the Districts with his partner De Goede Ree’s Optimist.

Dieke Slingerland

Dieke Slingerland’s Welsh ponies were also well prepared for this competition. First, she competed with Noa van de Es (by Ysselvliedts High-Wood) in the L class. This was her L-class debut, and she immediately achieved a fine score of 67.1671 TP4T, securing the Reserve Championship. Shortly afterward, she took to the arena with her pony Rujas Anna (by Ysselvliedts Irresistible) in the B class. She rode to an excellent score of 66.750%, earning the title of Northern Champion. For her final ride of the day, she entered the arena with her striking pony Rujas Dilly (Duffelt’s Max) in the ZZ class, where she also took home the Reserve Championship in the Z/ZZ division with a score of 63.167%.
