Saturday: Welsh Select Sale & Youngstock Show

The third edition of the Welsh Select Sale & Youngstock Show will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at De Nieuwe Heuvel in Lunteren. The daily schedule is known, and so is the Ponies up for auction are listed online.

Two rings

The Youngstock Show begins at 9:00 a.m. in Ring 1, while the working dog classes and the young handlers’ classes will take place in Ring 2 starting at 9:30 a.m. Following that, there will be a show by the SoSo Bixie Team in Ring 2.

In the hand-led categories, Section D will kick things off, followed by Sections C, B, WPBR, and A, with the foal championship, youth championship, and section championship held immediately afterward for each section. The daily championship will take place around 1:30 p.m.

Performance

In Ring Two, the pony carriages will enter the arena first, followed by the pony carriage championship. Next, it will be the turn of the ponies under saddle and the pony riding championship.

After the Performance Championship, it’s the youngest participants’ turn, followed by the Best Young Handler Championship and the Mini Performance Championship. After that, around 1:00 p.m., is the Bixie Show.

Select Sale

The presentation of the 39 auction ponies begins at 2:00 p.m. Following this presentation, there will be another show by the SoSo Bixie Team. In addition, visitors can view the auction ponies in their stalls and, if they wish, speak with the sellers.

There is a wide selection of Welsh-registered ponies from various sections—stallions, geldings, and mares—and across different age categories. From ponies for breeding, show, and/or general use, there is something for everyone.

The auction begins at 4:00 p.m.
