For the first time, performance championships were held on Saturday, August 17, in Kootwijk as part of the Central Mare Inspection. After Anwen Zoet took the lead that morning with Ysselvliedts Hello Goldstar in a great ’First Ridden’ class, she was named Mini Champion that afternoon and, shortly thereafter, Overall Performance Champion.

Marc and Anita Aerts of the Voermanhof Stud in Putte, Belgium, served as judges at this show. They sponsored beautifully engraved pens for the champions of the working classes.
The new format of the user categories attracted a large number of participants. Organizer Denise Methorst and ringmaster Dick Hols efficiently presented the users selected at the regional competitions to the judges, who judged them swiftly, allowing the very busy program to be completed within the time limit.
Emma and Towy
In addition to Anwen and Hello Goldstar, Emma van der Burg and the Welsh Cob stallion Flowergirl’s Towy were named Reserve General Purpose Champions. Shortly before that, they had already been honored as Champions of the Riding Classes, and in the morning program, they took first place in Section D of the riding classes for adult female riders.
The Leading Rein’s top rider, Juline Scheltinga riding Sarum Cherry Blossom, was named Reserve Mini Champion, and Yvette Zoet claimed the title of Reserve Champion in the Dressage Classes with the Section A studbook stallion Heniarth Scheckter, whom she had presented that morning in the Section A dressage class for adult female riders.
Ellen and Red Fox
In the Best-Performing Driving Pony class, Ellen Wijdeness and Wrentnall Red Fox won the Driving Championship, while the runners-up in this class, Thea Tacoma riding Oldenzijlster Banker, earned the reserve title.
