Both in Ermelo and Sevenum last weekend a selection competition for the KNHS Divoza Championship for young dressage ponies was held. A group of enthusiastic pony riders with ponies aged four, five and six presented themselves to the judges with neat results as a result.
Ermelo
The competition at the National Equestrian Center in Ermelo was organized by the Dutch New Forest Pony Studbook and the combinations were judged by judges Adriaan Hamoen and Marie José Timmermans. Judge Marie José was satisfied with the ponies presented in the ring, ‘We have seen very fine ponies this day that were definitely nicely ridden.
In both the five- and six-year-olds, an NWPCS-registered pony won. In this, the six-year-old Falco (by Leuns Veld's Winston) earned 80 points with rider Ilse de Wilde. The five-year-old Keizerskroon Finn (by Pippin's Pride A.T.) received 78 points with Mick van der Kort.
Sevenum
On Saturday, July 20, a competition for the KNHS Divoza Championship was also organized in Sevenum. The organization for this was in the hands of Dutch Welsh Pony and Cob Studbook and Trudi Houden and Mascha Reijs acted as judges.
The Welsh Melantho's Thruster (by Leuns Veld's Winston) won under Willemijn van Rooij in the five-year-olds with 69.5 points.
