RK Assen use sections and young foragers: not quantity, but quality

July 12, 2019

Also at the regional judging in Assen on Saturday, July 6, 2019, it was possible to participate in various use sections and the sections for young handlers. The participation was not as large as a week earlier in Putten, but also in Assen the quality was high.

Five of the six contestants received an invitation to the CK in Kootwijk from judge Ad Beekman.

Timo and Gisanne Zevenbergen

The six-year-old NWR Timo (by Leuns Veld's Xantos) had quite a busy time in Assen but pulled through in a fantastic way. In the section best going mare pony he conquered together with rider Gisanne Zevenbergen an invitation to the CK. “Timo together with Gisanne gave an attractive show and left a good impression,” said Ad Beekman.

Later in the day he was ridden under saddle by Gisanne in the driving class for the section NWR, this also became a CK invitation. This meant three times CK for Timo, also in the conformation class for geldings he was referred. Timo was bred by H. Veenhuis from Yde, owner is I.N. Veneman-Fleurke from 2e Exloërmond.

Kielshoop Magen and Fleur Veneman

The 13-year-old section A mare Kielshoop Magen (by Ysselvliedt's Sven) and Fleur competed twice, first in the First Ridden section and later in the young handlers. Both times the judges were very impressed by Magen's bravery and Fleur's enthusiasm and ability. “During the riding class, Fleur rode the pony very nicely around and the combination made a particularly neat and confident impression. Also during the showing they gave a neat presentation together.”

So twice an invitation to the CK. Magen was bred by the Smit family from Kiel-Windeweer and the owner is I.N. Veneman-Fleurke from 2e Exloërmond.

Vosco's Mimble and Ymke Wubs

The eight-year-old Section B Vosco's Mimble, together with Yme Wubs, was the second participating combination in the young handlers. They too may go to the CK. Although Mimble was at times a bit strong for Ymke, Ymke did an excellent job and solved everything well. Magen is bred by Melissa Mol from Erica and owned by T.J. Wubs-Grol from Elim.
