Once again this year, there is an opportunity to participate in the Welsh Cup. The preliminary rounds will take place during the regional inspections.

The competitions are open to teams riding a registered Welsh pony. You do not need to be a member of the studbook.

Preliminary selections
The preliminary competitions are organized in accordance with the official KNHS rules and regulations and therefore count toward competition points. Participants may compete in dressage classes B through Z2.
For each qualifying competition, you must register for two dressage tests if you want to be eligible for the finals.
The dressage competitions for that month will be held.
It may happen that a particular class and/or category is contested as a handicap event in accordance with KNHS rules.
Riders may compete in all four qualifying competitions held at our regional trials. Each combination is selected once for the finals; if you have already qualified for the finals, the next qualified combination will be selected (provided it meets the standard).
The entry fee for pony and adult riders is €8.00 per class. The entry fee must be paid in cash on the day of the competition.
Delegation
One out of every four combinations per class advances to the finals. Those with the fewest placement points across both tests and those who meet the minimum standard of 60% are eligible for a spot in the finals. In the event of a tie, the results of the first test will be decisive.
Competitors must have scored at least 60% on one of the two qualifying events; this also applies to those on the reserve list for a spot in the finals.
After the qualifying round, the results, the representatives, and the alternates for the final will be announced on www.startlijsten.nl.
Final
The final will be held on August 17 at the Central Mare Inspection in Kootwijk.
In the finals, all selected pairs compete in a test (the first test of the month), which is judged by two judges.
For the ponies, there is a small and a large Welsh Cup champion in each class (B, L, M, and Z).
There is a winner in the adult division. This category is contested in handicap classes (B through Z).
The awards ceremony takes place on ponies, with a well-deserved lap of honor.
