Kastanjehof Jip Scores a Double Victory with Help from De Goede Ree’s Optimist

Recently, there have been several championships in the Northern Mendistrict, including the Noordercup final and the Indoor Dressage Championships for ponies. Hindriëtta Lamein was successful at both events with her Welsh A team.

The Noordercup is a mini-marathon competition held in the three northern provinces. The participant with the best overall result across three races was declared the winner of this competition.

Noordercup Winner

Hindriëtta Lamein’s team, consisting of Kastanjehof Jip (by Cui Pendragon) and De Goede Ree’s Optimist (by Frisia’s Shooting Star), managed to score full points in every competition they entered and thus emerged as the winner during the final on February 23 in Burgum.

L-Level Dressage Champion

Kastanjehof Jip, who was bred by Janneke Schilthuis, also competed in the Indoor Dressage Championships with Hindriëtta Lamein. There, he was entered in the L class in the single-horse team event.

Despite the challenging conditions during the competition—a massive rain and hailstorm that created a tremendous amount of noise in the arena—the riders handled the pressure well. With an impressive average score of 65.831 TP4T, the pair was also able to add the title of Class L dressage champion to their list of achievements.

It can be concluded that Kastanjehof Jip is a very versatile pony who demonstrates his talent in both dressage and the mini-marathon.
