CHK 2019: Dijkstra Family Breeder of the Year and more successes

During the morning program of the Central Stallion Show on Saturday, February 9, 2019, the public could see Jonker's Jayden prolong his title as NWR Section Champion. The six-year-old Woldberg's Rossini, entered in the studbook just before, became Section B champion and the entire Dijkstra family of Oldenzijl Stables was honored as Breeder of the Year.

NWR

After the judging of the studbook stallions section B, A, C, D and Welsh Partbred, it was the turn of the NWR studbook stallions. Like last year, the section championship was for Jonker's Jayden. Reserve champion was Nieuwmoed's Mister Right.

Section B

As many as thirteen new Section B stallions were entered, including eleven three-year-olds and two seniors. Paralels Anne was placed first in the three-year-olds and the later section champion Woldberg's Rossini was first in the seniors.

Oldenzijl Stable

The entire Dijkstra family of Stal Oldenzijl was called into the ring by board member Louis Roeters. They were honored as Breeder of the Year and driven around the ring on three carriages in a lap of honor. In the Welsh Pony & Cob Magazine of course more about this successful and dedicated family.

Next, Ben Berst was honored. The man known to many stallion inspection visitors as a ticket seller has been involved with the studbook as a volunteer for 28 years.

The afternoon program will feature the other sections.
