114 new stallions to be licensed registered for CHK 2019

For the first viewing of the Central Stallion Show on February 8, 2019 in Ermelo, 114 stallions have been entered. The section B is the most represented here with 37 stallions. The NWR follows with 35 stallions. For the section A, 29 stallions have been entered and 7 Welsh Partbreds are expected in the judging lane on Friday. For sections C and D, two and four stallions respectively have been entered.

Section A

In Section A, 24 three-year-old and five older stallions make their appearance in the first viewing. From Heniarth Yesteryear, Lacy Buzbee, Nicton Carreg and Vechtzicht's Hywel and Ysselvliedt's High-Wood, two stallions each will enter the ring. Hywel is also the dam sire of a stallion once.

Section B

The Section B judges will receive 33 three-year-old and four older stallions for evaluation on Friday. Three offspring each of Nilantshoeve's Zippo, Thistledown Calon Lan and Woldberg's Vivaldi have been entered. Linde Hoeve's Sebastiaan (4), Den Bramel's Rio (3) and ’t Hogeland's Ferdinand (3) are well represented as dam's sires.

Sections C and D

The Welsh Section Cs and Welsh Cobs will be represented by one three-year-old in each section. In addition, three older section D stallions will enter the ring and one older section C stallion. Both three-year-olds are bred in the Netherlands.

WPBR

Seven three-year-old Welsh Partbreds have been entered for the first viewing. Leuns Veld's Lord is in two cases the sire and in two cases the dam's sire. The now 23-year-old Leuns Veld's Lord (v. Vita Nova's Celesto), owned by Swedish owner Karin Levin Angergård, will also appear in the lane himself at the stallion inspection among the newly to be licensed four-year-old and older NWR stallions.

NWR

A total of 31 newly to be licensed three-year-old and four older NWR stallions were entered. Pippin's Pride A.T. is the top leader with five offspring. Five offspring are also expected from Nia Domo's Bolero, including one in the Welsh Partbreds. Jonker's Jayden and Speyksbosch Dickens are listed as the sires of four newly licensed NWR stallions each. By Desperado and Bijsterhof's Diamond Dancer, three stallions each are expected in the judging lane on Friday. One of Diamond Dancer's sons is listed among the Welsh Partbreds.

Orchard Red Prince appears most often as the damsire of the newly to be licensed stallions. He appears eight times as damsire, including once in the Welsh Partbreds.
