Amalia's Black Diamond
Dear Members,
As promised in the email sent to you earlier we would let you know more about the progress of the NWR/WPBR club at the end of April. It has taken longer than we expected but we can now tell you more about the future of the club.
During the founding of the NWR/WPBR club we found out that there are a lot of demands to establish a club (Articles of Association, Chamber of Commerce, etc.), so we asked ourselves what the purpose of the NWR/WPBR club is and what contribution we can make. Gradually we came to the conclusion that we want to contribute to the future-proofing of our section within the studbook, to serve as a resource for members and to provide them with advice if necessary.
We decided to consult with the main board to see what our contribution to the NWR/WPBR section could be. During this consultation it appeared that we both had the same vision and goals in mind, whereby the board indicated to be looking for a working group NWR/WPBR and Sport. Because the studbook has already taken care of many things (Statutes, Chamber of Commerce, etc.) these ‘burdens’ fall off for us and we can spend more time as a working group on matters that contribute to the maintenance/widening of our sections. Through this setup, we as a working group can be the connecting factor between members and board, additional advantage in this construction is that you as a member of the studbook do not pay extra dues for membership of the NWR/WPBR club.
The board submitted this to the membership council, which gave a positive recommendation in this regard.
As you may already know, Louis Roeters has in the meantime been appointed as board member NWR/WPBR and Sport, with him and Piet Peters we as a working group have discussed last week which direction we are going and what the steps to take in this are.
On Thursday, July 5, there is a breeders' evening organized at the KNHS center in Ermelo where we will also be present, on this evening we will talk about the breeding plan and the predicate system. If you as a member have questions / comments and / or ideas about this evening please contact us. We look forward to seeing you this evening.
Where possible, we would like to plan activities/meetings this year and an annual schedule of activities/meetings will be created for 2019.
On behalf of the working group: Martijn Duits
On behalf of the main board: Louis Roeters
