Last Saturday, March 19, the Towerland Welsh Medal Show took place in Slapton (United Kingdom). .
Dutch breeders enjoyed success at this show.
Last October, the approved stallion Springbourne Capricorn left the stables of Gerrit and Leny van Beek (Singel Stud) and headed to Mark and Liz Kilbey at Idyllic Stud. Springbourne Capricorn is currently being used there on a lease basis for breeding and is also being shown there.
He was an instant success at his first overseas show. He took first place, won the Section A championship, and even earned the title “Overall Reserve Supreme of the Show.” Also shown at this show was his three-year-old daughter, Deweijerds Hailey, bred and owned by Willard Leeuwis and Jacorine Schutte. Deweijerds Hailey also took first place.
