Welsh Sports Day North seeks new organization

This year marks the 10th edition of the Welsh Sports Day North. The competition has become a hugely popular competition for young and old with around 700 starts in various disciplines.
But after 10 years, the current organization has decided to pass the baton to a new group of enthusiasts for next year. And for that we might be looking for you!

We take you briefly through its history.

It was in 2014 that a suggestion was made at the meeting of Section North to organize a mutual competition. Due to the enthusiasm of a number of members, this eventually became an official competition in 2015 on the grounds of Paardensportcentrum de Zuidstroom in Vinkega. After 2 years the competition here had outgrown its space and an edition came at the Fries Paardencentrum Drachten. This also proved not spacious enough, and so from 2018 Manege Gaasterland in Harich became the location for this beautiful event. As of this moment the organization consists of 6 enthusiastic Welsh and sport enthusiasts. They have made it a unique pony event over the years, supported by many sponsors and volunteers.

By publishing this notice now, there is the opportunity for people who are interested to take a preliminary look. As a result, the organization hopes to make a warm transfer to successors.
