Comments by owner:
Purchased as a colt for the purpose of sport and foaling. I stopped riding dressage under saddle, but maybe I wanted to try driving. Had her covered and trained as a 3 year old for driving. That same year, my daughter Gerbrich rode the IBOP in harness Amy, with good results. The following summer I made my driving debut. Class B and L ridden through, then 2 years in between with physical complaints from myself. Amy was also started under saddle L1 dressage. This year Amy started competing again, winning the Z level in driving. Granddaughter Janna (3 years old) is already a big fan of Amy.

Hoekhorst Eclaire obtained the predicate sport based on her results in the discipline of dressage (L2 + 7)
Owner's comment:
For many years we have enjoyed our Welsh ponies at home. Last year, when the first Section A foals were born, we were itching to go to the inspection. Last year Hoekhorst Eclair got an invitation for the CK. Eclair was already Ster when we bought her, so we tried to get the Keur predicate, which we succeeded in doing! This made us even more fanatical and soon we were thinking, what if we try to get the Sport predicate. Eclair is mega eager to learn and picks things up easily, so getting into the sport was no problem. Meanwhile, we were looking for a rider to take her to the show. We quickly found this in Jaley van der Wetering! The goal was L2 + 5 for the sport predicate, but if it all goes so easily and well, goals are quickly adjusted. So they rode the selection competition which they won. The following weekend they became Drents Champion L2 AB ponies! Jaley managed to ride Eclair to L2 + 7 in several competitions. With that, Eclair got her Sport predicate and became Crown! We are Jaley and Dénise very grateful for their help!

Afan Mathew obtained the predicate sport based on his results in the discipline of driving dressage single pair (M + 10)
Comments by owner:
Afan Mathew moved from England to the Netherlands at the age of 14. In England, Afan Mathew has several descendants.
Mathew began his training as a riding pony at the age of 14. This was definitely not without controversy. His insecurity unfortunately sometimes put us in unsafe situations. It took several years before he had developed enough self-confidence in front of the carriage. Because of his fantastic character he has now grown into a very fine driving pony and despite his age of 20 years, he is still developing. In every class we were allowed to ride at the Hippiade, culminating in a bronze medal in class L. In addition, he became reserve champion in class B and champion in class L of District North. I hope we can make our debut at Z level soon and that he will have many more healthy years with me!

Ald Fearts Mariska's Cedric 528017 07.00735, STB section NWR, born May 24, 2007, sport

Ald Fearts Mariska's Cedric obtained the predicate sport based on her results in the discipline of dressage (Z1 + 1).
Comments by owner:
Ald Fearts Mariska's Cedric (Mika) is an 18-year-old daughter of Wester Aikema's Cedric and Orchard Miss Martine (elite crown) out of Cocky Dundas BB. Mika rode together with rider Romy Grob to Z1 and also achieved the following highlights: reserve champion class L2 D/E ponies outdoor regional championships, 3rd in class M1 D/E ponies outdoor regional championships and they placed 7th at the outdoor NK in class L2 D/E ponies. Mika has proven not only that she herself is a very talented dressage pony but also that she can breed a talented sport pony as her only offspring (so far) Waldemar H&C (V. Winston) is classified at FEI competitions. We are therefore also looking forward to breeding several offspring with this beautiful dressage pony and we are also curious how her sport career will go with her new rider Calijn de Jongh.

Comments by owner:
The beautiful adventure began three years ago with At Last Opium Poppy, who was five when we started competing together. We rode both dressage and jumping competitions and ended up with dressage M1+13 and with jumping finished in M (90cm) +8. Together we achieved many great results including: General club champion 2023, Regional champion L (80cm) outdoor jumping 2024, Reserve champion L regional championships outdoor jumping 2024, Regional champion M1indoor dressage 2025. We were also allowed to start at the NK outdoor jumping 2024. Poppy is a pony with a heart of gold and loves attention and cuddles. Besides training and competing, we often went outside which we both enjoyed very much. Unfortunately, ponies don't grow with us and now we look back on a beautiful period rewarded with a sport predicate.
Yalissa Reedijk, rider of At Last Opium Poppy.

Comments by owner:
I bought Beau as a 2.5 year old stallion. I trained him myself and in this he never took a step wrong. Now Beau is 10 years old and we are M+5 in dressage and M+11 in skill. Beau loves to work, both in front of a carriage and under saddle. He is a little shy, but once you have his trust he will do anything for you. Our goals for the future are to continue with dressage and skills, but we are also planning on double driving! (Social media: Spring team Jolanda Bruinsma)

From the horse market in Hedel to successful in the Z2 class with the horses. A special pony with a unique but fantastic character. Because of the right people in her life she got a new chance. If there is a textbook example of what trust, peace and understanding can do with a pony, Fair is proof of this. Her worthy pony career began with Zissely. After actually being offered as a slaughter pony at Hedel market, Zissely took Fair under her wing. She gave Fair the trust and love she had never had. Their bond was strong and allowed them to start M2 together. Unfortunately, due to private circumstances, another place had to be found for Fair. Through a friend Fair came to Jorith. What a golden combination! A top team was born. Jorith with her fantastic riding quality and feeling in combination with the capacity of Fair the duo grew into a successful combination in the Z2 between all the horses. Beautiful successes were achieved together. Lateral gaits and changes Fair loved. It was enjoyment together. In 2019, Fair joined Zoë's stable. Together with Fair on to a new adventure. It was indeed some groping for each other but by both being honest, they grew together into a beautiful successful combination. Together they started, with nice results, in the Z1 and were allowed to ride at championships in Brabant and the NK. Together with her freestyle foursome “The Jackson Five” and later “Unlimited” they also experienced many special moments. Horse Event and the Dutch Masters have become real milestones in this. As a team Fair and Zoë always felt super. However, also a beautiful pony time comes to an end... Fair has been resting for a year now and will enjoy her retirement with Zoë. Their bond is strong. Besides the sport with Zoë, she also got 3 foals. 2 foals by FS Next Diamond and her last foal is by Amalia's Joep. All very handsome and still at Zoë's stable. Hopefully youth for the future. Fair Fardau enjoy your retirement and you can be proud of what you were able to give your amazons. Your sport predicate has been earned

Comments by owner:
Silver is a true all-rounder with a heart of gold. He excels in a variety of disciplines: from outdoor rides and game days to dressage, cross country and especially his greatest passion - jumping. Together with Fee van Yperen, Silver achieved several orange ribbons. What started at a Christmas dressage competition grew into an impressive sports career, awarded with the Sport predicate. In addition to his sporting achievements, Silver is known for his reliable, sweet nature and striking appearance. To his rider, he was not only an exceptional sport pony, but also a true best friend. It was sometimes a challenge to arrive clean at competition , because he is on a paddock paradise so outside 24/7. Crossroads, parades during St. Martin's Day, game days and especially the many jumping competitions are among the beautiful memories experienced with him.

Comments by amazon:
The adventure of Roosendaal's Summertime and me started in 2023 when Astrid asked me to bring her out in the sport.I was on her for the fourth time and we immediately won big in the B class. From there it went fast: we were selected for the Dutch outdoor championships and moved up to the L class. Summer is a real outdoor pony, and so in the summer of 2024 we were selected again for the Dutch Championships in the L2 class, with a 4th place at the regional. Meanwhile, we have grown considerably as a combination; we have obtained the sport predicate and are now starting in M2. The points for Z are also in, so we continue training with pleasure. I really enjoy learning new things with Summer.
Last week at the Gelderlander championships we managed to qualify for the NK dressage in Ermelo August 16.I am sure there is much more in this pony. Not only under saddle, but also next to it she is worth gold! She has recently been scanned in foal to Hania's Memphis and in April ’26 she is expecting her 2nd foal. There is already another 4 year old Roosendaal pony waiting for me with whom I want to start this summer. Hope we can follow the same route and in a while I can write a nice piece for the Welsh Magazine.
Greetings Iris vd Lagemaat and Roosendaal's Summertime
