Operation research 2025 - 2026 starting!

With large number of participants of as many as 13 stallions and one 2nd viewing stallion, the Verrichtingsonderzoek started last Saturday. 9 designated NWR stallions, 3 WPBR stallions and 1 section B stallion gave their presentation. In addition, the NWR stallion Pierrot van den Hout was allowed to show voluntarily, to still have a chance to start at the track.

The judges were positive about the stallions that came into the lane this day. ‘A number of stallions came to us and showed this on the street as well as under saddle. A number of stallions still lacked the experience.’

Pierrot van den Hout (v. Amalia's Pieter), bred by H.A. van Erp and owned by H.J.C. Ebbers and J. van Heijst, came into the lane in the morning, after a check with the veterinarian, in hand. Then he was allowed to present himself during the first assessment day. The judges were very pleased with the stallion's presentation under saddle, which earned him his ticket for the performance test. Beautiful to see that owners see the opportunity to still be admitted to the performance test and use it,‘ said the jury.

Overall, the judges saw a group of stallions most of which showed good workability. In addition, there were some stallions that suffered from a lot of tension, making them difficult to judge.

‘A nice number of stallions during this examination. We are already looking forward to Saturday, January 3, the second assessment day. Then we will see how they have developed in five weeks!’

The second judging day will take place at the Nieuwe Heuvel in Lunteren. This day we will start from 13.15h.
