Apply for your predicates in time for CHK 2026!
During the judging season, your studbook stallion may have shown a number of offspring that can earn your stallion a predicate. In addition, your stallion may also have achieved his Sport predicate. Good to take stock just before the Central Stallion Show!
Predicates of studbook stallions can be applied for until December 31. The stallion must be present at the presentation during the Central Stallion Show unless the predicate is awarded posthumously.
If your stallion cannot be present during this tribute, the predicate will be awarded at the department meeting.
Below is the explanation of the predicates a studbook stallion can earn:
Predicates/premiums stallions, based on performance offspring
FOKPREMIE (note: this is not a predicate, but an incentive award)
A studbook stallion can only be awarded a breeding premium once his oldest offspring are three years old. His offspring must have earned at least 30 points. Of the offspring presented for inspection, at least 60% must have earned a first premium and at least 10 points must have been earned by predicate daughters/ geldings or studbook sons. The studbook stallion must be shown at the CHK when awarded the breeding premium. The breeding premium may be awarded posthumously to a stallion.
PREFERENT
A studbook and/or basic book stallion can be awarded the predicate preferent as soon as his offspring have obtained at least 80 points. Of these, at least 20 points have been obtained by predicate daughters/ geldings and at least 10 by studbook sons. A stallion that breeds decisively in the female or male line may also qualify for the predicate preferent without pedigree sons or without sufficient predicate daughters/ geldings, on the recommendation of the Breeding Technical Committee to the Executive Committee. This predicate may be awarded posthumously to a stallion.
ELITE
A studbook and/or basic book stallion can be awarded the predicate elite once his offspring have achieved a minimum of 120 points. Of these, at least 40 points have been obtained by predicate daughters/ geldings and at least 20 by studbook sons. A stallion which breeds decisively in the female or male line can also qualify for the elite predicate without pedigree sons or without sufficient predicate daughters/ geldings, this on the recommendation of the Breeding Commission to the Executive Committee. This predicate can be awarded posthumously to a stallion.
