Dear Welsh Friends,

Having proudly partnered with the Association of Stallion Owners for many years, today we mark an important moment in our history. Founded in 1986 as a collaboration between several pony studbooks, the union has supported stallion husbandry and highlighted the quality of our stallions for decades. Consider the annual premium for newly approved stallions and the valuable link between studbook and stallion owner.

A Changing Landscape

Times have changed. Where previously large breeding companies dominated, we now see more and more passionate hobbyists becoming active. This caused the Union of Stallion Owners to decide to end its activities, as its mission - to support stallion breeding - has been fulfilled in this new context. We as NWPCS look back on this cooperation with pride and would like to thank everyone for their commitment and dedication.

Handover of the Remaining Balance.

Today we were privileged to experience a special moment. In the ring, Willy van Keulen and Jan van Beek were invited to hand over a check, with the remaining balance of the union. The check was symbolically handed over to our treasurer Annemiek Kuijpers Smeulders. We will consult with our members and stallion owners to see how this amount can be optimally used to further support breeding.
