New performance test approved
The Council of Members has decided to approve the new performance test. This renewed process, which starts immediately, offers stallions more time for development and an improved evaluation set-up. By shifting the start of the examination and streamlining the process, animal welfare and objective evaluation criteria are better taken into account.
With this new approach, the examination will be expanded to include a voluntary track for second review stallions. The assessment will take place in three phases: a first selection day in November, a second assessment day in January and a final examination at the end of January. During the exam, stallions will be judged on their performance under saddle, stable behavior and character.
With this approval, the Council of Members takes an important step in the further development of the performance test, with an eye for both the sporting and welfare technical aspects of stallion selection.
