New Jury (vice) presidents

Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce that at the recent online membership board meeting, nominations for the new positions within the judging corps were unanimously approved. This officially nominates the following candidates:

New (vice) presidents: 

• Jury Chair:
  Ms. Trudi Houwen was unanimously elected as the new jury president. Trudi, a judge since 2018, brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge from the equestrian world. Her connecting leadership style and professional background make her the ideal person to lead the jury corps and work together to further develop our studbook. Trudi will take over the presidency from Ben Platzer effective January 1, 2025.
• Vice President Breed:
  Mr. Berry Bakker was unanimously appointed Vice President of Breeds. Berry has distinguished himself in recent years by his commitment to Welsh breeding and his extensive knowledge of ponies and their bloodlines. As an experienced judge and active breeder, Berry is the perfect link between the breeders, the FTC Breed and the judge corps.
• Vice President NWR/WPBR:
  Ms. Marjolein van de Bosch was also unanimously elected Vice President NWR/WPBR. Marjolein has been a judge since 2019 and is an active breeder and stallion owner. Marjolein has a lot of knowledge of breeding within both sections and is looking forward to building a nice structure within the association together with the FTC and fellow judges.

A strong team for the future:

We are enormously pleased with the unanimous support for these three candidates. Their appointment marks an important step for the future of our studbook and jury corps. The trio will jointly ensure a smooth division of tasks and clear communication, both internally and externally. Last year, the Members' Council already approved the new jury plan with which we will be working from 2025. By making the lines between the FTC, the jury corps and the members smaller, we can take another step in improved communication. Soon the new presidents will introduce themselves to you in detail.

We would like to thank all members of the Membership Council for their support and confidence. Together with Trudi, Berry and Marjolein we look forward with anticipation to the continuation of the good work within our studbook.
