Most of this year's foals have now been registered. The vast majority have also been microchipped and have received a passport. In the field, however, we hear that several foals are still not registered. Since the chippers are on the road a lot now, your foal may still be included in their routes. The later the foal is registered now, the longer it may take for the chipper to arrive in your area. In addition, the chippers may charge extra mileage fees with you for foals registered after September 1, if they have to drive especially for you instead of a combined route.
We also see that quite a few foals are still registered the following year or even later. This involves many times higher costs than registrations done on time. So avoid long waits for chipping and high costs and register your foal now!
