How we do it again: foal registration

It will be the most wonderful time again for most breeders, the foaling season. Besides enjoying the foals there are of course other things that come along with the birth, including foal registration therefore some extra attention regarding registering your Welsh foal.

Foal Registration

The birth of your foal can be notified via My Welsh. You must do this within 14 days of the birth. The mating is visible in most cases when you click on ‘Register foal’ in the Dashboard. This only applies when you have mated with an NWPCS approved stallion. If you are registering a foal by a non-NWPCS approved stallion, you will send the original stud insemination agreement from the relevant studbook by mail to the NWPCS studbook office. Once the foal is registered, you will receive a confirmation email detailing the process of sketching and chipping the foal.
