Following last year’s overwhelming success, Emma van der Burg, Dieke Slingerland, and Anneke Dijkstra have once again joined forces to organize the Welsh Stallion Show in Noord. We already noticed last year from the positive feedback that people had missed it. But this year, too, the registrations poured in again.
"By and for stallion owners in Noord" is our motto, and it is certainly appreciated.
The Welsh Stallion Show will take place in Sonnega on March 23, and we'll start at 7:00 p.m.
Grandstand and live band
It’s going to be a wonderful evening featuring no fewer than 32 Welsh stallions: 9 in Section A, 6 in Section B, 5 in NWR, 10 in WPBR, and 2 in Section D. Be sure to check out the website and the Welsh Stallion Show’s Facebook page for all participating stallions. New this year: a grandstand and a live band! The Lende Blazers will set the mood right from the start of the evening.
But we haven’t forgotten about the participants either! Someone will be there to film the entire evening so that Reels can be ordered from the footage. This is, of course, very much in line with today’s social media trends. And it’s obviously wonderful promotion for the stallions. Thanks to our many sponsors, there will be a raffle with some fantastic prizes, including 7 free breedings—but there are many more great prizes to be won.
For first-time visitors to the stallion show, Epplejeck Equestrian and Hartog have also provided a nice goodie bag.

Program
The evening begins with a spectacular opening show, so be sure to arrive on time. Afterward, all participating stallions will be presented in hand, and in between, there will be demonstrations featuring stallions on long lines, in front of a carriage, or under saddle. The first offspring will also be showcased. There will also be a number of foals on display.
The recently approved stallions from the north will be honored, and they’ll all receive a nice gift. And we’ll wrap up the evening with a fantastic finale show. But in between, you can of course enjoy some snacks, drinks, and music! There’s also a well-stocked straw village where you can shop for all kinds of items.
There is ample parking.
Free admission and free parking!
If you're a Welsh fan, be sure to be in Sonnega on March 23 at 7:00 p.m.!
