Sparkling second edition of DPC Stallions Night
HOUTEN - Last Saturday, March 16, 2024, the time had finally come. The beautiful location of Zilfia's Hoeve in Houten once again provided the stage for the DPC Stallions Night. With a sold-out grandstand and some fifty pony stallions appearing in the lane, the second edition was once again hugely successful.
The canteen, which also provided a bite to eat at Grand Café ‘Tante Fie’ filled up early, and at 7 p.m. the DPC Stallions Night got underway. There was something for everyone: from a cool show of two Du Bois stallions under saddle (Ducati du Bois with Jailey Kraak and Davinci du Bois with Marjolein van den Bosch), to the necessary young stallions in hand that have been appointed/approved this year, NK-winner Pronk Stables Geronimo Taonga with rider Bridget Lock, and jumping stars such as Zeppe van de IJsseldijk VDH with Stacey van der Haar and Bruno Mars with Swedish Pernilla Josse.

The program was opened by two DPC winners from last year: Bo Leijten with Durello (dressage) and Caro Lize Wessels Boer with Midnight Miracle (show jumping), accompanied by the singer Rosanna, who had flown over from Spain to give beautiful performances. The opening was completed by the demo team of the DYNAMITE dance studio in Hout, who have already participated in European Championships, and a foal also entered the track. There was also a small foray into horses: Grand Prix rider Kristen Brouwer showed a beautiful display of dressage with her likeable chestnut gelding Kinetic S (by Negro).

The stallions followed each other in quick succession and because of the different presentations there was a lot of variety. The packed stands, bar tables with bar stools and step stools left no doubt: many pony lovers were present at this successful second edition.
