On Saturday, March 16, starting at 7 p.m., more than fifty pony stallions will present themselves to you at the DPC Stallions Night at Zilfia's Hoeve in Houten. Last year the show was a resounding success; in this second edition you can expect even more spectacle and show.
Pony sport and breeding is alive and well, as we noticed in 2023. Both the talent competition Dutch Pony Championship and the Stallions Night attracted a lot of interest. And rightly so, because ‘our’ ponies are doing fantastic in the sport and we are so proud of them! That is also what the organization wants to convey: The Netherlands has great ponies and we should show that!
More than fifty stallions
This year so many applications for Stallions Night came in that we had to use a waiting list and the grandstand seats are already sold out. There are also (free!) some seating and many stepping areas at the ring, so please come and take a look!
Newly approved a ‘golden oldie’
What else can you expect? Young stars who have just been approved as well as ‘golden oldies’ pony stallions will put their best foot forward for you. They will show themselves in hand and under saddle and demonstrate their dressage and jumping abilities. A number of winners of the 2023 DPC competition will also present themselves. This time a live artist will provide even more atmosphere.
Lottery with super prizes
Once again this year there will be a raffle for all attendees with fantastic prizes such as three months of free feed including feed advice from Hartog, discounts on or even free studs, an eventing clinic by Alice Naber-Lozeman and tickets to Wildlands. The studbooks also make available beautiful blankets and blankets and there are dressage and jumping lessons to be won from top riders. The winners of the raffle will be announced the same evening.
Free admission
Are you in for a fun evening where you get an overview of the best (sport) pony stallions and spectacular entertainment? Admission is free (note: parking ticket is required and can be purchased through the site of the Dutch Pony Championship https://dutchponychampionship.nl/stallions-night-2024/)!
Luxury catalog
All stallions participating and much more can be found in the catalog of over one hundred pages (!), which is sold at the door. A great book to delve into the stars of the show at home as well as read the interviews with breeders, owners and riders.
