NWR gelding Albrecht's Hoeve's Lars is one of the calling cards of the NWPCS in the driving sport. At the World Paramennen Championships in Exloo (August 23 to 27, 2023) he will compete with American Tracy Bowman. Lars won the individual gold medal the past two World Championships. In 2018 with Francisca den Elzen and in 2021 with his current driver Tracy Bowman. With the latter he defends the world title this weekend.

Albrecht's Hoeve's Lars (by Orchard Red Prince) came into the world in 2009 with his breeder A. van Egmond. Mother of the bay is Castenrayseweg Saartje (by Bokkesprong Casjmier).

Francisca den Elzen

The Den Elzen family bought Lars as a 3.5-year-old. He was ridden under saddle and tethered by Francisca herself. “He really wasn't always easy and I learned a lot from him,” she says. Especially in dressage and skill, the pair was hard to beat. In 2018, the pair won both individual and team gold.

The sale of Lars went through Bram and IJsbrand Chardon. Van Elzen herself continued with the NWPCS registered Welsh Partbred Vandijk's Superboy (Good Looking x Orchard Red Prince, breeder C.H. van Dijk, with whom she won both individual and team gold in 2021.

By the way, in 2016 Den Elzen won double gold with Bart Blom (Boomer x Orchard ‘d Avranches), making her together with a Welsh pony thus rightfully a golden combination. Den Elzen concluded her international riding career with Superboy by becoming Dutch champion at this year's NK in Exloo. The duo will not defend the World Cup title.

Tracy Bowman

American Tracy Bowman, who is trained by Family Chardon, managed to achieve individual gold at the 2021 World Paramennen Championships in Germany. Should she prolong her title this coming weekend, that would therefore mean three individual World Cup golds for Albrecht's Hoeve's Lars.
