Esmae Niessen came very close before, but never won the gold at a KNHS Championship, until today. With her pony Dempsy Sil she achieved the highest score in the class L1 cat. DE sponsored by Pikeur and was on the podium to receive the gold medal, championship sashes and sponsor awards from Pikeur. Esmae says enthusiastically, “I am extremely happy with all the successes we have already achieved. And then to become champion today, that is of course great! It is really cool to be here and to be allowed to ride. The atmosphere, the ring, the audience. Super!”

“I also had a really nice ride. All the things that didn't go so well last time, such as jumping up in gallop, went really well today. Also, the activity in my test was much more constant. My pony Dempsy Sil is a five-year-old approved Welsh stallion and I have been riding him for about six months now. What I like most about him? He is super beautiful! He also has a strong trot and a nice character to work with. He is very smart and picks up everything quickly. We are now going to make our L2 debut soon and see if we can become an even better combination together.” (Source: KNHS)
