Samorens Masterclass with Anwen Zoet

The black Welsh Section B stallion Samorens Masterclass has been sold to Chile in South America. Together with the three Section B mares Kortehoeves Laroushka, Greigiau Spring Cariad, and Ysselvliedts Sposh Sparkle, he is making the long journey to help Mr. Matsumoto establish a fine Section B Welsh breeding program.

The four-year-old Samorens Masterclass was bred by Gerrit Rensen of Holten. His sire is the black Ysselvliedts Master Mascarade, and his dam is Samorens Kathy, a black daughter of Lemonshill Royal Flight.

Masterclass was bred last summer at Stal Ysselvliedt, and in the fall of 2020 he was broken in under saddle. He certainly proved he has a fantastic temperament with 10-year-old Anwen Zoet in the saddle.

Harold Zoet: “We had absolutely no intention of selling this high-quality stallion, but turning down the offer from Chile would have been very unwise. We also believe he can do a great job of promoting the Welsh pony there.”

Four foals by Masterclass are expected at the Ysselvliedt stable in 2021.
