Nicest old Welsh
Last month people could send in pictures of ‘old’ Welsh ponies for the election ‘Nicest old Welsh Pony or Cob’. With one of the entries we rightly received the following comment: “Actually they are all great, aren't they, those oldies.... They stay with their owners for so long for a reason. They are often good for many beautiful memories, they often have golden characters and a very good health. Maybe you should make an honorary gallery of all the participants!”
Since we agree with her wholeheartedly, we have decided to nominate all 22 Welsh ponies submitted and one Cob. They will be here mentioned.
Although it is not the election of the ódest Welsh, it is nice to mention that the oldest participating pony is the 35-year-old Hengelhoef's Finale. She is in Belgian hands.
Most participants are from Section A. There are two NWRs competing and as many Welsh Partbreds. In addition, there is a Welsh Cob among the nominees.
Five rounds of voting
There will be five rounds of voting in the near future. The contestants will then be introduced with a photo and small piece of text. You have 48 hours each round to vote for your favorite. All five winners, and the two numbers two with the highest number of votes, will then compete in the final round. This round will take place toward the end of the year.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 2, on nwpcs.nl, we will introduce the first four contestants to you and you can vote for your favorite via a Poll.
