Powerplay Emelwerth Wins June Online Foal Champion Title

The falcon-colored Welsh Partbred colt Powerplay Emelwerth has won his third Online Foal Champion of the Month title. Born on April 10, this son of the NWR stallion Dempsy Chicaco (by Nia Domo’s Bolero), who was approved last year, received 290 out of 1,436 votes.

Powerplay was bred by Monica Groothuis out of the perlino Welsh Partbred mare Hester Emelwerth (Power and Paint x Tetworth Crimson Lake). Hester was named reserve champion at the 2016 regional inspection in Tolbert. The half-brother of the palomino star stallion Magic Mike Emelwerth (D-Day AT x Power and Paint) was beautifully photographed by Annie Damhof for this event.

The foals that finished in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place had nearly the same number of points: 210, 207, and 202, respectively. That's why we're announcing the top 4 (instead of 3) this time.
