3 How many generations have you bred from her?

Sloof: “We’ve bred two generations from her.”

4 Which stallions does she combine well with? And why?

Sloof: “The first two foals (See the ‘Offspring’ button above) are both by the stallion Valerio. We are very pleased with this pairing. Both mares are performing well in competition and breeding. Spoorzicht’s Jolie has produced a second-round inspection stallion and a national foal champion (2018). Spoorzicht’s Jane’s first foal has been selected for performance testing this year. We had Royal Jubilee covered four times by Speycksbosch Dickens, which turned out very well. What we really see coming through in this combination is the breed’s characteristics and the movement, with beautiful pony proportions. We also welcomed a very beautiful filly this year sired by Nieuwmoed’s Mister Darcy.”

5 What makes Orchard Royal Jubilee so special?

Sloof: “We’ve been through quite a bit with her—we actually had to have her first foal surgically removed in Utrecht. At the time, we thought she might become paralyzed and be unable to get pregnant again, but fortunately she recovered well. We had her bred again anyway, and she’s given us some beautiful offspring. We’ve also successfully shown her again. Jubilee is now the queen of the stable or the pasture and is always taking in the world!”
