WPCS is considering all options to keep its sales on track

A few days after Brightwells Auctioneers announced it was discontinuing its Equine division, the Welsh Pony and Cob Society (WPCS) has confirmed that it is exploring options to ensure the auctions can continue to take place in Wales.

‘Following Brightwells’ announcement and their decision to terminate their services to the WPCS as official auctioneers, the WPCS Supervisory Board wishes to reaffirm its position regarding Official Sales.”.

The title ‘Official’ for auctions is owned, endorsed, and authorized by the WPCS on behalf of its members.

Since Brightwells' announcement, the Board has been considering all options to ensure that the WPCS's (full) operations and schedule continue.

Although the recent news was very disappointing, it also gives the WPCS an opportunity to consider a variety of ideas and proposals for the upcoming auctions.

The WPCS will share updates on its progress as soon as possible.
