Lunging NWR / WPBR stallions at Central Stallion Show
lunging stallion inspection chk
At the Central Stallion Inspection on February 7 and 8, 2020, lunging of the NWR and WPBR stallions will be introduced. This applies to the stallions that have been selected for the second viewing.
Lunging will take place on Friday after the first viewing in a roped-off lunging circle.
The stallions are evaluated for suppleness, strength, and balance in the three basic gaits: walk, trot, and canter. In addition, their willingness to work, obedience, and conformation are assessed.

Lunging Clinic
During the lunging clinic, which will be held on November 30 in Ermelo, the focus will not only be on how a pony should be trained. The clinic will also address the time required to lunge a pony at the CHK.
The clinic will be led by Edwin Langevoort and will begin around 11:20 a.m. in the Amalia Hall at the National Equestrian Center in Ermelo.
